Amidst avid rumours of a prolonged schedule for the band's current tour, local promoters in both Brazil and Mexico have now announced that Depeche Mode are scheduled to play their respective countries in 2006.

According to the Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sгo Paulo, Depeche Mode was on the list of coming atractions in 2006 announced by CIE Brazil in October. Other names include Bob Dylan, Jamiroquai, Simply Red and Shakira. The shows, the dates of which are yet to be finalized, are set to take place in Sгo Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

And French based fansite, Playingtheangel.com, reports that Warner Bros in Mexico and CIE/Ocesa have announced the Mode's return to the Sports Palace in Mexico City, where a date is supposedly already set for April 30th. We've received no independant confirmation on this.
