More details on forthcoming live 2DVD/CD set Depeche Mode
Announced months ago on Side-Line the official Depeche Mode site finally confirms the news. On September 25th the worlwide Depeche Mode herd will flock again to the shops in order to lay their hands on the "Touring The Angel: Live In Milan" 2DCD/CD set. The 3-disc set features the full-length live show and a bunch of exclusive extras on two DVDs and a live audio CD. Directed by Blue Leach the concert was recorded at Milan's Fila Forum on February 18th and 19th 2006. The first DVD features 20 live songs, including the recent singles "Precious", "A Pain That I'm Used To", "Suffer Well" and "John The Revelator" plus a lot of other tracks. The second DVD features a range of extras, including: two bonus live songs ("A Question of Lust" and "Damaged People") plus a 20-minute documentary featuring Anton Corbijn who recently worked with the band on the current stage designs and the "Suffer Well" video. Additionally, the DVD holds the official tour announcement from Germany, summer 2005, and the previously unreleased "Playing The Angel" EPK. The rather unnecessary extra audio CD features thirty minutes of live tracks from the concert which can also be found on the DVD. For the devotees, the "Somebody" track was ommitted and replaced by "Shake The Disease". For those that wanted "Leave in Silence" or "Photographic", there appears to be a plan for a 'best of' live CD to be released in the Live Here Now series of the band's current tour. More news on this later on. A video report of the actual Milan show can be seen below. |
